As the owner and operator of Wolfhunter Jiu-Jitsu Club, it is my profound aspiration to impart the art of Jiu-Jitsu to law enforcement officers, recognizing its practicality within the realm of law enforcement. I bring to the table 12.5 years of comprehensive law enforcement experience, encompassing roles such as Basic Jailer, Basic Mandate Officer, Basic School Resource Officer, Basic SWAT Team member, General Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, and Supervisory Certification holder.
Throughout my professional journey as a law enforcement officer, I concurrently achieved the status of a JiuJitsu Black Belt. I have dedicated more than sixteen years to both training and teaching this martial art.
It is my firm belief that law enforcement officers should engage in regular training grounded in Jiu-Jitsu principles for real-world scenarios. The rationale is clear: JiuJitsu equips officers with fundamental positioning and skills essential for real-life physical encounters. Proficiency in JiuJitsu not only safeguards officers but also extends protection to suspects, owing to the adaptable nature of this martial art. Consequently, the use of force can be minimized, reducing the likelihood of injuries to both officers and suspects.
JiuJitsu imparts potentially life-saving tactics, serving as a catalyst for encouraging a healthier lifestyle among your deputies and officers, while also providing them with valuable post-training hours.
Respectfully,
Robert Howell
